Explore Our Projects
Here’s a glimpse of the projects that students will work on during this course.
Project 1: Basics of ibisPaint (Toolbar and Tool Selection)
- TOOLBAR: The toolbar in Ibis Paint is the command center, where we can access all the different tools available for creating and editing the artwork.
- TOOLS: Selecting the appropriate tool is essential for executing different artistic techniques. There is a list of tools provided by ibisPaint X which helps in the modification of art.
Project 2: (Layer selection)
Layers help you organize your artwork and make it easier to edit specific parts without affecting the entire piece. As the name suggests, layers are like multiple sheets, If you do the line drawing, coloring,or create the background on different layers, then the colors will not mix. Layers exist to keep elements on your canvas separate from one another so they can be edited independently.
Project 3: Basics of Animation
While keeping the concept of onion skinning and principles of animation, students will create key frames for a bouncing ball and moving car. For creating smooth animations, they will ensure continuity between the past and future frame and also use the playback and review feature of Ibis Paint for smooth impact.
Project 4: (Character Creation and Transformation)
It will include designing an initial character using basic shapes, tracing and tools from Ibis Paint. Additionally, students will plan the character’s metamorphosis (e.g., from a caterpillar to a butterfly) and also create a sequence of images that will show the transformation of the character. Students will integrate the process of evolution by combining all the canvas together and turn them into an animation. Hence, the entire cycle will be displayed among them in a vivid and engaging animated format.
