1. The First Computer Programmer!!!  

The renowned poet Lord Byron’s daughter Ada Lovelace was a gifted mathematician born in London on December 10, 1815. She later collaborated closely with well-known mechanical engineer Charles Babbage, who built one of the first mechanical computers.   

She would then construct a theory on programming a machine to compute Bernoulli numbers. The code that came after it would eventually be the first algorithm executed by a machine, which made it the first computer program.  

Even though she wrote about a computer, the Analytical Engine, that was never built, she realized that the computer could follow a series of simple instructions, a program, to perform a complex calculation.  

2. Coding can “Power Up” your Brain!!!  

There are clear cognitive advantages to learning to code, including improved critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and collaborative abilities.  

Since 1991, studies have shown and proved that programmers generally had stronger cognitive skills and that engaging in intellectually challenging activities like coding significantly decreased the risk of degenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.  

Both hard and soft skills for kids are still very important in today’s world, but those who can solve issues, work in teams, pay attention to detail, and accept mistakes as teaching opportunities will have a far better chance of becoming tomorrow’s leaders. 

3. The Youngest Programmer in the World!!!  

At just six years old, when children are just entering formal schooling, Kautilya Katariya created a Guinness World Record for becoming the youngest computer programmer in the world. He then created his own search engine, chatbot and earned artificial intelligence expert accreditation for IBM.  

He was designated the “youngest computer programmer” in the world by the Guinness Book of Records. He used the information and knowledge he learned from the IBM course materials to construct AI (Artificial Intelligence) apps.  

4. Python – the Easiest Coding Language!!!  

Coding for 7 year olds are also beneficial to learn at an early age. Python is a versatile programming language and due to this feature and use of example code, the core concepts are easily absorbed even at the elementary level. Therefore, age is never a barrier when it comes to a kid learning python.   

Furthermore, high-level programming languages like Python have a robust and user-friendly syntax. Because of its easy reading and basic grammar, it’s regarded as a language suitable for beginners.  

5. Coding — a Left-Brain Activity!!!  

As we know, the left brain may be more dominant for calculations, math and logical abilities, so coding is often called a “left brain” activity. Thus, it needs logical thinking and problem-solving skills to write code.  

6. Java—the Coffee!!!  

The programming language Java was developed in the early 1990s by Canadian computer scientist James Gosling. The project that James Gosling and his group started off calling “Greentalk” eventually became “OAK.”   

Nevertheless, as “OAK” was already a trademark of “Oak Technologies,” they were unable to utilize the name. Thus, while drinking his coffee, Gosling finally had the bright notion to name the language Java.  

Note: Java coffee is farmed on the island of Java in Indonesia.  

7. All 0’s and 1’s!!!  

Binary code” is what drives computers in their operations. The only characters used in the program that operates on them are 0s and 1s, and there are countless ways to combine these two numbers. Because of this, software can be written continuously. 

8. 700 Programming Languages!!!  

You will be surprised to hear that there are over 700 programming languages if all you know about codes are C, C++, Java, and Java Script. Programming languages that are widely used include Go, Rust, Scala, Python, Swift, PHP, and C#.  

9. No need for tech Know How!!!  

According to recent statistics, over 70% of coding occupations have absolutely nothing to do with technology.  

Yes, you and your kids could learn how to program and use that expertise for subjects unrelated to technology – like nature studies, geography research, and film and design.  

10. 25 Minutes!!! 

A programmer needs twenty-five minutes to produce a single line of clean, error-free code.   

It’s not that they’re not skilled at what they do; rather, it’s because programming is a very difficult endeavor that needs a great deal of consideration, concentration, and attention to detail.   

Therefore, it makes sense why it would take so long because there are many things that can go wrong with a single line of code, and most programmers write hundreds or thousands of lines per day!  

11. No Mathematics Background Needed 

Coding does not require a solid background in mathematics; many effective programmers come from a variety of backgrounds, and as one advance in their programming training, it is possible to pick up the essential mathematical principles.
