Hurry Up!

In the busy routine of the modern world, everyone needs some leisure time and a lot of fun!!!

Being a parent is the most hectic job that never ends. No matter whether you are a father or mother, the responsibility for a child’s upbringing lies with you. Taking care of your child in the most appropriate way may be challenging sometimes. But it gives a lot of energy and strength to see them grow up and succeed in their small achievements.

With gadgets, screens, and technology all around, children often give tough times to parents and they also have to avoid parenting mistakes. It is you who needs to decide how to handle the situation tactfully.

So, we have compiled a list of some practical and funny advice for parents to train and educate their kids in a friendly way.

Hope this helps you out….

Advice for Parents w.r.t. Education

Education is the basis of character building. It teaches kids how to behave in a good manner, to learn innovative things and to implement them in their future lives. First, we’ll discuss some pieces of advice to help parents in their child’s learning process:

1. DIY Classroom

DIY (Do It Yourself) is a common term used by everyone now a days. It refers to the activity of decorating or repairing your home, or making things for your home yourself, rather than paying someone else to do it for you.

You can recreate the concept as a DIY Classroom. Let them play “teacher” and explain their homework to you or their coding toys. It’s hilarious and reinforces their learning through teaching.

Because it’s not always them who should be taught. Let them teach you in their own style. It will help them boost their creativity and imagination.

2. Celebrate the Small Wins

Enjoy their little moments of victory with them. Celebrate their small happiness with your smaller actions.

Did they pass their science test with good marks? Time for a mini treat! A candy or cookie will work for them.

Celebrations don’t have to be grand to be memorable.

3. Ask Google Before Mom

Google has the answer to every question. Teach your kids to look up answers themselves first. It builds their research skills. Also, it develops a habit of exploring things without taking your help.

Note: It’s a mom hack; freeing you from pretending that you know everything. Saving a lot of time and brains.

4. The ‘Invisible Friend’ Trick

Children have an inclination toward imaginary things or characters. Make one for them. Like blaming the invisible friend when something goes wrong. “Oh, Mr. NoHomeworkAgain forgot to finish his reading!”

Or when you want them to do a specific task, motivate them by saying: “See, there is a bird who can clean up the room in seconds”.

Examples like these will really urge them to do the things they want. Hence, lightening their mood and getting them to think about responsibility.

5. The Weekend Scholar

We know that weekends are your only break from work. But why not spend it in the most fun way i.e., giving quality time to your family, especially kids. Turn weekends into fun learning experiences.

A trip to the zoo is a biology lesson; baking is a chemistry experiment; and ludo is a way to teach them addition. Learning is everywhere, even in the most unexpected places. You just have to rethink how to make a simple activity unique and entertaining.

6. Homework Time = Snack Time

Many kids are fond of eating. Or at least they want their favorite treat off and on. What you can do is transform homework into a fun activity by serving up some tasty snacks. This will help them do their homework in no time and that too in a happy mood.

Never forget: “A well-fed student is a happy student”. And it keeps them motivated.

These tips blend funny advice for new parents with a dash of practicality to make education a bit more enjoyable for both you and your kids. Now we’ll share some tips regarding your child’s upbringing.

Advice for New Parents w.r.t. Raising Kids

Raising kids is filled with joy, challenges, and countless learning moments that shape both the parent and the child. It requires patience, love, and a sense of humor to pass through the ups and downs of their growth and development.

Here are some tips to follow:

1. The Magic Timer

Yes, we know it’s the technological era, but kids still get fascinated by fiction. So, you can use various games or techniques to get them to complete their things in a fun way.

For example, use a timer for everything – brushing teeth, getting dressed, cleaning up. It turns mundane tasks into a race against time and adds a bit of excitement.

2. Reverse Psychology is Your Friend

Reverse psychology works in various behaviors and routines, from persuading kids to clean their beds to tricking them into eating healthy foods. The key to making it work is to be persistent.

If you want them to eat their veggies, tell them they can’t have any. Suddenly, eggplant becomes a hot commodity!

3. The Compliment Tree

Compliments work like magic for your child. Appreciate them whenever they lend a hand in house chores. Hang a chart on a wall with a tree drawing. Add stars whenever they do anything good. This will inculcate an urge in them to do something worthy every time.

Moreover, admire them verbally too. Praise, critique, praise. “I love how you cleaned the table today, let’s work on making the bed, and you’re awesome for picking up your toys!”

4. Selective Hearing

You can not fulfill every wish of your child. Especially when they are being rude or discourteous in their demands.

To handle such a situation, master the art of selective hearing. Ignore the whining but respond to polite requests. They’ll get the hint and start asking nicely.

5. Giggle Therapy

From ancient times, laughter has been used to influence cognitive behavior to improve and establish healthy physical, psychological, and social relationships.

So, end the day with a giggle session. Tickle fights, funny faces, or silly jokes are funny advice for new parents. Laughter is the best stress relief for your kids. Besides, it also works for you throwing out the tension of your daily routine activities.

6. Bedtime Negotiator

Bedtime is the “Best time” to create a strong bond between you and your child. Make the most use out of it. While in bed, listen to them carefully. Ask them small questions. “How’s your day been, tell me a good thing you learned today, is there anything special you want to tell me”. This develops an open and friendly relationship.

Additionally, give them a choice for bedtime stories. “You can have one long story or two short ones.” It makes them feel in control while still getting them to bed on time.

Final Thoughts

These tips are just a few ones as parenting is universal. Parents are not comparable. Every parent has a different viewpoint which is unique in itself. You just have to make sure that your child is comfortable and satisfied.

So, next time you face any obstacle, try a mix of practicality and humor in your behavior. This will surely make parenting a bit more enjoyable and effective by reducing parenting challenges.

Happy parenting!!!
